The Indexers

Every person matters. Perhaps it’s this feeling that prompts millions to seek out their family history.
For most of us, records of our ancestors provide a link to our past. An army of volunteers from around the world is now working to make these records available to everyone.
Using FamilySearch.org, anyone who wants to help preserve this valuable family information can easily extract it from historical records and provide free searchable indexes. All of this can be done from the convenience of our own homes.

I have recently rediscovered indexing.  I love it!  I find it rewarding and relaxing.  I have started a Facebook Group called The Indexers...a bit intimidating to me.  My hope is to share my love for indexing and motivate others to get involved.  I think it'll be fun to see how many names we can index as a group.
I'm not a professional indexer.  I have a lot to learn still, but that's why indexing is so great!  There is a lot of work that can be done by people new to indexing.
I was trying to do 1,000 names a week...a bit much.  I realized that I've quit crocheting and need to clean the house a bit more.  My new goal is 500 a week.
Give FamilySearch Indexing a try!
