Waverly, Wavelry, Wavelry

Conrad is just a complex individual...

I think Jaylee has a future in fashion...

My kids are growing up too fast! Jaylee just had her 1st grade performance at her school. She did so great! I cannot believe that after tomorrow I have a 2nd and 1st grader. Where has the time gone? When they were little, life seemed so hard and it seemed like it would never get easier. I need to remember that hard times come and go. They usually don't last forever...they just change. Wavy will be in Kindergarten next year! I just can't believe it.
I love teaching my kids and I love when I can see that it's paying off. A lot of times we probably feel like our teaching is in vain. That's why it's so great when they suprise me w/ something they've picked up on.
This morning Jaylee and I had a little 'tift' over her hair. I let her have her way w/ her hair 99% of the time. It's only hair, right? Well, occasionally I want it to be a certain way. Twice now, she's freaked out, bawling, snot dripping out of her nose, because she didn't want it a certain way. Long story short, during breakfast she apologized..I accepted her apology. A couple of minutes later she said, "Do you forgive me Momma?" This is how I apologize. After I've done something wrong I apologize and ask, "Do you forgive me?" It was so cute. It also made me realize that we adults need to be more childlike when it comes to forgiveness. When a child forgives, they just forgive and move on like nothing happened. When adults forgive, we say we're over it but then bring the subject back up several times, just to teach them a lesson or to make sure they know how badly they've screwed up.
I love being a mom. I love teaching my kids, especially about the gospel. The time's just going to fast....

Learned something new about attending the Temple...

I learned something new about visiting the Temple regularly. We all know that we should attend often and we all know that there are blessings that come by doing so. However, I wasn't aware of these specific blessings. I thought it was interesting enough to blog about.
This comes from Val R Christensen, Rexburg Idaho Temple President
1. No weapon will be formed against them.
2. No combination of wickedness shall have power over them.
3. Those who fight them will dig a pit and fall into it themselves.
4. They will have angels to guide and protect them.
5. They will have the name of Christ upon them.
6. They will feel God's power in their lives.
7. They will be taught words of wisdom.
8. They will grow up in Christ.
9. They will receive a fullness of the Holy Ghost, to be comforted and led into all truth.
10. They will be organized according to the laws of God.
11. They will be prepared to obtain every needful thing.
12. They will be armed w/ God's power.

You all know that I'm a bit paranoid at times. For that reason, #1-4 are particularly comforting. Hope someone else learned something from this.

Myspace, Facebook, Hotmail, Blog....

It's confusing to have myspace, facebook, email and a blog...but I'm going to try it. My favorite way to catch up w/ friends and family is through facebook. I think a blog would be more personal, though.
Can anyone tell me why my profile picture is so dang huge? I'd like to smaller.
Be patient w/ me while I figure this blogging out.
