Pack Meeting
Last night was Conrad's first Blue and Gold Pack Meeting. The whole family had a lot of fun. They had a cake decorating contest. The scouts had to decorate the cake all by themselves. I wanted to help him out, but I let him do it all. The top of the cake had about 2 inches of frosting on it. Anyway, there were three winners. He won the prize for Best Birthday Themed cake. He was so proud. (I'll admit that i was too.) He received his bobcat badge. He's loving scouts. The requirements are pretty easy for right now. It was a lot of fun. Thank you scout leaders!

Family Update

It's time for a Barnard update. We've actually made some fun changes in our family. Matt started Graduate School at Argosy University in October. He's getting his MBA. We're hoping that it eventually help him get a better job....that way we won't need 3 jobs! He's doing great so far. He also gets to go to Europe for a whole week in March. It's for his International Business class. I'm trying to be happy for him.:) He also just cut back his hours at Albertsons so he can study more. He was working 4 nights a week and he's down to 1 night a week. We have never seen each other this much! We're still trying to get used to it. I'm trying not to give him chores to do...yet. It's awesome.
We started a paper route in September. I'm suprised we're still doing it! It's not the most fun job but we're making the most of it. I listen to books on cd. I do most of, but Matt delivers to some Condos that have a lot of stairs.
We are really enjoying homeschool. I'm so happy that we're doing it. I'm seeing/enjoying many benefits from it. Every once in awhile I doubt myself and wonder what the heck I'm doing. Luckily those moments aren't very often. I feel like I'm always learning.
I'm the organist and RS pianist. Awesome callings! Love them. Matt is teaching the 10 year old boys. He's enjoying it more than I would.
Jaylee is such a great help to me. She's Harrison's second mommy. The other morning she came in and got Harrison, changed his diaper and clothes, gave him breakfast and then made him a bottle to put him back in bed. That's when I woke up. She has learned to crochet and loves to cook. She baked Harrison's birthday cupcakes all by herself and frosted them. (She's less talented at the frosting..)
Conrad was baptized in Feb. It was great. He was so ready. He's loving Scouts. I thought I'd hate Scouts. I thought it would just be another thing on our to-do lists. We are really liking it though. It's been fun to help him with it.
Wavy is just crazy. She's so much fun. She is always saying the most funny things. She's doing well with learning to read. She's not the most teachable child. She doesn't want me to teach her anything. She thinks she knows everything. If I help her with piano or reading or anything she grunts at me and tells me she already knows and wants to do it by herself. Conrad is the same way.
Harrison, aka Hammy, is great. He is spoiled and loved and makes us so happy. He turned 1 this past week. He's crawling up stairs and standing but not walking yet. He still had a crooked neck. Still doing therapy with him. He still has a collar he wears 4 hours a day. We are hoping that he won't have to have Botox injected into his neck.... we'll have to see.
The kids are doing dance~break dancing and Jazz. All are doing piano. Jaylee and Conrad are in basketball right now. Wavy and Jaylee are doing tumbling. Jaylee goes to Activity Days and Conrad's in Scouts. Needless to say, we are staying busy.
I'll include some pictures. I have more recent ones from Conrad's baptism but I haven't uploaded them yet.
More later....

Wyoming 2010
Another fun family trip! We were able to make arrangements with all of our many jobs so we could go visit Nana and Poppi in Wyoming. We left on Halloween day and stayed for three days. Mom made a ton of yummy, fattening treats...hot batter cake, mint chocolate cookies, poop cookies. The girls had their first 'Tea Party' with Nana. It was so sweet. She's been preparing for this for awhile now.

We went four-wheeling the next day. We had fun, but it ended tragically. Matt and Dad stayed behind to ride for awhile longer. Long story short, Dad rolled his four-wheeler. Matt took him straight to the emergency room because he was having a hard time breathing. We rushed to be with them. He was in a lot of pain. Matt was able to find someone there to help give him a Priesthood blessing. Dad was lucky because nothing was broke. He's just really sore.

Matt and I were able to go on a couple little dates. It was nice. I took at least 2 baths a day there. So relaxing. We love going to their house. We ate at Poppy's casino, which was also fun. I get nastalgic when I go into a casino....childhood memories!
Thanks mom and dad! Had a great time.
Yellowstone 2010
I'm behind on posting pictures. This Fall we were able to go on a family vacation to Yellowstone. We had such a fun time! We stayed with my brother Josh and his family. We spent one day in Yellowstone. On the way back to Idaho Falls, I took a trip down memory lane in Rexburg, ID. What a beautiful Temple they have there now! We went to Big Juds, a local diner, where Matt ate a Big Jud Burger. They took his picture to hang on their wall since he finished the whole thing. It was fun. He looked a bit sick afterwards, but we were proud of him.
We spent the next day w/ my brothers family and had a ton of fun. On the way home we stopped by my aunt Tina's house in Pocatello. Her twin babies are so cute. We still weren't ready to go home, so we stopped by Roy, UT and visited with the Dunlaps and the Folletts. We miss them so much. It was a lot of fun.
We had such a fun time being together as a family. Can't wait to go on more trips like this one.
